This policy explains what information LabBench (getlabbench.com) collects and how it’s used. The short version: the calculators run in your browser, and the site doesn’t ask you to create an account.
Calculator inputs
Formulas, numbers, and other values you type into a calculator are processed in your browser. They aren’t sent to LabBench’s servers or stored by the site.
Information you send us
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you enter. We use this only to read and respond to your message. Form submissions are handled by our hosting provider, Netlify, and we don’t sell or share them.
Server logs
Our hosting provider may automatically record technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is standard for websites and is used for security and operation of the service.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
LabBench may use cookies or similar technologies, including for traffic analytics and to show advertising. If we show ads through Google AdSense or a similar network, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings, or learn about other options at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Fonts and other third-party content
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests files from Google’s servers and your IP address is visible to Google when it does. See Google’s privacy policy for how it handles that data.
Affiliate links
Some links may be affiliate links, such as links to textbooks or lab supplies. If you buy through one, LabBench may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Children’s privacy
LabBench is intended for college students and general audiences. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes, for example when ads or analytics are added. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
